Fruity Dessert Pizza

  • 1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) sugar
  • 4 cups (1 L) assorted fresh fruit such as strawberries, kiwi, bananas or peaches; blueberries or raspberries

•Place your baking stone in the oven and preheat to 350°F (180°C).

•To form the crust, shape your cookie dough into a ball. Flatten the center of the ball with the palm of your hand, and then use a small rolling pin to create a circle, with a small ring of crust around the outside. The dough should be about a 12 inch (30 cm) circle, and about 1/4 inch (6 mm) in thickness.

•Gently place your dough onto the stone and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a light golden brown. Remove the pizza stone from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before using a bread knife to remove the cookie and then allow to cool completely.

•To create your topping, mix the cream cheese and sugar in a small bowl until blended smooth. Spread the mixture over the top of your cookie evenly. Cut fruit into bite sized pieces and arrange on top.

•Slice with a pizza cutter. Keep refrigerated.

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

  • For this recipe, use the same ingredients you normally use to make cookies.
  • This can be either refrigerated pre-made cookie dough or from scratch.

•Place your baking stone in the oven and preheat to 350°F (176°C).

•Either create your dough from scratch or remove the pre-made dough from its packaging. Cut a piece of parchment the same size of your pizza stone and spread the dough on top of it, creating an even layer. Carefully place the parchment paper onto the stone.

•Allow the cookie to bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the stone from the oven and allow the cookie to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the cookie from the parchment paper with a large spatula and place on a cooling rack to finish cooling completely.

•Slice with a pizza cutter.

Cinnamon Roll Ice Cream Sandwiches

  • 1 tube of large refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • Your favorite flavor of ice cream

•Place your baking stone in the oven and preheat to 350°F (176°C).

•Open the container of cinnamon rolls and separate each individual roll. With each roll, use a knife to cut it into four thinner cinnamon rolls. Gently place on the pizza stone and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until slightly golden.

•Remove the stone and allow cinnamon rolls to cool completely. While you wait, remove the ice-cream from the freezer to let it begin softening up. When the cinnamon rolls have cooled, scoop a single dollop of ice-cream onto half of them, and use the other half to cover.

•Freeze for 30 minutes before serving.
